Disputes between Fifi Abdo and Summaya Al Khashab

The relationship between Egyptian actress Summaya Al Khashab and belly dancer Fifi Abdo has soured after Fifi expressed her desire to appear in a sequel to the drama “Kayed Al Nisa”(Women’s Vengeance), which they both starred in during the 2011 Ramadan season. Summaya has refused to star in part two of the drama, stating that that she prefers to be free for other work. According to the London based Elaph, Summaya was furious over the publicity Fifi received for the drama, while Summaya was neglected due to her preoccupation with filming the scenes of her other television drama “Wadi Al Mulook” (Valley of Kings). Despite Fifi’s previous announcement that Summaya agreed to star in the second part of “Kayed Al Nissa”, the writer of the drama, said that he is seeking a replacement for Summaya to star alongside Fifi. Summaya and the director of the drama, both refused to present a second part, although, production company, has contracted director Ahmad Al Badri to begin work on the sequel. No final agreement has been reached with the stars that will participate, although preparations for the drama are underway.
