A cousin of reality TV star Honey Boo Boo was arrested in Georgia for wearing a gorilla suit during a roadside escapade, authorities allege. TMZ reported Friday it obtained a copy of Tony Lindsey's arrest report in which Deputy Joe Rozier of Wilkinson County said he was driving along Highway 20 one evening earlier this month when he spotted a man in a gorilla suit. "I observed a white male dressed in a gorilla suit acting as if he was going to jump into my lane of travel. I swerved into the left lane to avoid an accident with the person," Rozier said. The man and several companions ran into the woods but returned when Rozier threatened to unloose his K-9 dog, the deputy said. He said Lindsey was accompanied by four other adults and two juveniles. When the group came back to the road, they did not have the gorilla suit but admitted to hiding it in the woods, where he found it, Rozier said. While the TMZ report didn't say Lindsey was the one wearing the ape suit, E! News reported it confirmed with the deputy that Lindsey was the suspected gorilla impersonator. Everyone involved is free on bail after the adults were booked on reckless conduct charges but the gorilla suit remains in custody as evidence. Lindsey is known as "Crazy Tony" in his appearances on "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," the TLC show featuring Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, her parents and sisters.
