Bollywood actor arrested in connection with actress' suicide

Suraj Pancholi, the boyfriend of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, was arrested Tuesday in Mumbai for suspicion of abetting her suicide, The Times of India reported. The actor is the son of film stars Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, UPI reports. Although Suraj Pancholi was not present when Khan hung herself last week, the Times said Khan's mother has accused him of driving her to take her life because of his allegedly abusive behaviour. The newspaper cited a six-page suicide note blaming an unidentified individual for "ruining her life" by raping and abusing her, as well as forcing her to have an abortion. Pancholi spent two nights with the actress before she committed suicide and he reportedly was the last person she spoke to by phone, the Times said. E! News said Pancholi and his family have not yet commented on the charges against him.
