Grammy Award-winning Austrian DJ Peter Rauhofer died in New York of a brain tumour at the age of 48, his manager said on his Facebook page. Rauhofer was internationally known as "Club 69" and had lived in New York since the early 1990s. In 2000, he won one of the prestigious Grammy Awards for his remix of Cher's "Believe". He also reworked songs by Madonna, Britney Spears and Rihanna. On his Facebook page his mother said he would be buried in his hometown Vienna. His manager had made his condition public in mid-April.
