The number of housing permits in South Korea fell for the fourth consecutive month in April, government data showed Sunday, indicating a prolonged slump in the real estate sector. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said that the construction of 30,915 new homes was permitted in April, down 26.7 percent from the same month of last year.
