Istanbul - Anadolu

Chairperson of the Turkish-Egyptian Business Council Zuhal Mansfield said that the world needed the Logistic Regional Project at the Suez Canal and that it was high time to expand the Suez Canal so as to make more contributions to global trade. Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA) on the sidelines of the Joint Meeting of the 14th Turkish-Egyptian Business Council in Istanbul, Mansfield said that "the Suez Canal project was opened to the world by Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil." "The world needs this project. It is high time to expand the Suez Canal and build buildings, ports, shopping malls, maritime pools and shipbuilding yards around it," Mansfield stressed. All that is needed for the Suez Canal project is to hold a tender, Mansfield also said.
