
Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Khalid Abdulrahman Al Moayyad explored ways and mechanisms to activate the Bahraini -Lebanese joint economic relations in various areas and commercial sectors.
During a meeting with the Lebanese Embassy Charge d'Affaires Ibrahim Assaf, Al Moayyad said that the private sector in Bahrain aspires to increase expand the areas of bilateral trade through the establishment of joint ventures and increase exchanged visits between economic delegations, in light of the low trade exchange, praising the fraternal bilateral relations.
He called on encouraging businessmen and Lebanese representatives of various commercial and industrial sectors to come to Bahrain and to be informed about the available investment opportunities, stressing BCCI’s aspiration and the Bahraini private sector to open more channels of cooperation and coordination with the Lebanese Embassy in Bahrain so as to promote various Bahraini-Lebanese economic and investment activities, highlighting Bahrain’s attractive investment environment for all investments and economic projects.
Assaf lauded the co-existence, stability and openness in Bahrain, as well as the advantages and facilities provided to attract investments, expressing hope that the Lebanese Embassy will contribute to upgrading and promoting the bilateral economic relations.
He affirmed his country’s keenness to exert efforts that aim to consolidate and bolster the bilateral trade relations, calling upon BCCI to cooperate and coordinate with the Lebanese champer of commerce and industry so as to explore ways of developing bilateral investment.
He affirmed the Lebanese Embassy’s readiness to provide all the required aspects of support in order to strengthen the frameworks of joint cooperation.
BCCI Second Deputy Chairman Jawad Al Hawaj, BCCI Chief Executive Engineer Nabil Abdul-Rahman Al Mahmoud and a number of BCCI’s members of the administrative body were present.
