The second meeting of transport ministers of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific has convened in Thailand's capital, Bangkok. The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran is attending the UNESCAP's two-day meeting. During the meeting, issues such as assessment of the performance of the members in the field of making the first phase of the regional action plan of ESCAP (2007-2011) with emphasis on issues such as Asia Highway, Asia Railway, ports, logistical centers and commercial facilities, investment in infrastructure transportation projects according to PPP method will be discussed. The second phase of action plan for 2012-2016 period and the meeting's statement was also approved at the meeting. A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Deputy Roads and Urban Development Minister Jamshid Noursalehi are attending the meeting.
