Ukraine seeks to export military equipment to Mexico

Ukraine is seeking to supply tanks and armored vehicles to Mexico, the Ukroboronprom state defense company said on Wednesday. Ukroboronprom is ready to offer Mexico armored personnel carriers APC-3E1 and APC-4, "Oplot" and "Bulat" tanks, precision-guided weapons, and other products, said Ukroboronprom Director General Sergey Gromov. As Mexico still uses Soviet-made aviation equipment, Ukroboronprom is ready to take part in renovation and modernization of such machinery, said Gromov. He also said that Ukraine and Mexico have great potential in technical cooperation in the military filed, particularly in joint production of precision-guided weapons. According to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Ukraine exported arms worth 1.334 billion U.S. dollars last year, making it the world's fourth largest arms supplier.
