Turkish supermarket chain Migros said Thursday its Q1 sales in 2012 was up 14.5 percent year on year to 1,455 million from 1,271 million Turkish Lira in 2011. The company said its Q1 sales profit climbed to TRY385 million, up 4.4 percent from the previous year and gross profit margin was 26.5 percent. Q1 foreign sales reached TRY 97 million, Migros said. The company said it opened 31 new stores in the first quarter and it planned to launch at least 100 others before year-end.
