Turkey's current account deficit dropped 13.6 billion USD to 31.083 billion USD in the first half of 2012 when compared to the same period of 2011, as Anatolia news agency reports today. Central Bank stated on Monday that foreign trade deficit dropped 12.041 billion USD to 34.4 billion USD in January-June period of 2012 when compared to the same period of 2011. Net income from balance of services increased 835 million USD to 6.2 billion USD, while net expenses from balance of income dropped 873 million USD to 3.5 billion USD in the first half of 2012 when compared to the same period of 2011. In the mentioned period, tourism income dropped 95 million USD to 8.3 billion USD, while tourism expenses decreased 635 million USD to 1.8 billion USD when compared to the first half of 2011.
