
Turkey has spent $ 4.6 billions on Syrian refugees in more than three years, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Noaman Qortlimos said Thursday.
During his testimony before the parliament about the crisis budget allocated for caring for Syrian refuges, Qortlimos said the number of Syrians in 22 refugee camps reached around 220,000.
Qortlimos said another 1.4 million Syrians were living outside of official camps.
Turkey has spent around $ 4.6 billions on Syrian refugees although it received $ 256 millions as an international assistance for handling refugees' crisis, he added.
