TurkStat, Turkey's statistical authority, said on Wednesday that 82,186 motor vehicles were registered to the traffic in March 2012. Among them, cars were on the first place with 54.5 percent (44,821) and it was followed by small trucks with 18.3 percent (15,024), motorcycles with 14 percent (11,478) and tractors with 5.6 percent (4,614). Small buses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 7.6 percent (6,249) of the registered motor vehicles in March 2012. The number of registered motor vehicles in March decreased 17.8 percent when compared to March 2011.
