The Tunisian capital is to host the 15th Conference for Arab Businessmen and Investors (MARAM 15) from May 14 to 15, 2012. The conference is co-organized by the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), and General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries (GUCCIAAC), in collaboration with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA). The conference, entitled "Arab Investment under Current Changes", aims to underline the importance of orienting Arab investments towards contributing to the recovery of the economy, supporting the pan-Arab economic development, participating in the reconstruction and building projects, as well as the advancement of economy, especially in the countries that have recently witnessed political events. In this context, the conference will concentrate on paving the way for various Arab states, particularly the Arab spring countries, including the Republic of Tunisia, to present their investment plans and programs over the forthcoming period, while highlighting the investment opportunities available to the private sector via special working sessions. An exhibition is also to be held on the sidelines of the conference. The conference will be attended by leaderships and officials representing chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture in the Arab countries, joint Arab-foreign chambers, specialized Arab economic organizations, Arab economic, financial, and productive Unions, Arab private economic, investment, financial and banking institutions, Arab development banks and funds, Organs for encouraging investment in Arab countries, in addition to a large number of Arab entrepreneurs, investors, experts and intellectuals in the economic, financial and social fields.
