Tunisia registers trade deficit of $5.4 bln

Tunisia's trade balance recorded a trade deficit of more than $5.4 billion by the end of last year (2011), showing a rise of 5% compared to the figure of the year 2010. The latest data issued by the Tunisian Government Institute for Statistics have disclosed that the value of annual revenues from Tunisia's exports accounted for $16.6 billion compared to its imports of about $22.5 billion. The top three trading partners of Tunisia are France, Italy and Germany.
