
The European Union and the United States began theirfourth round of talks Monday on a landmark free trade deal, dpa reported.The Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP) would createthe world's largest free-trade area, with the goal of spurringmuch-needed growth and jobs."We are going to be now discussing much more intensively marketaccess," said an EU source, highlighting the issue of tariffs, butalso the question of opening up the services market and improvinginvestment opportunities.The current round of talks is due to last until Friday and will alsoinclude meetings with business, labour, environmental and consumergroups. The TTIP negotiations are not expected to conclude before2015.
