South Korea's 500 largest firms saw their net profit jump 64 percent in 2010 from the previous year, with industry heavyweights Samsung Electronics Co., Hyundai Motor Co. and SK C&C Co. leading the climb, data showed Sunday. The combined net profit of the top 500 local firms soared 64 percent on-year to 104.9 trillion won (US$89.5 billion), while their revenue increased 9.2 percent from a year ago to 2,452 trillion won, according to the data released by Fortune Korea and Seoul National University.
