STX's European unit wins US$420 mln deal for 2 ships

STX Group, a South Korean shipbuilding and shipping conglomerate, said Friday that its European unit has won a US$420 million deal to build two well intervention vessels. Under the deal with Eide Marine Semi AS of Norway, STX Finland Oy will deliver the two vessels by 2013, the group said.
