South Korea picked as chair of anti-money laundering body

South Korea was picked as the chair of an inter-governmental policymaking body on preventing money laundering, adding to its recent accession as a permanent member of the world's accounting standards setting organization, the country's financial regulator said Tuesday. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) said that South Korea was appointed as the chair country of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) at its plenary meeting in Paris last month.
