South Korea, Australia sign currency swap deal

South Korea said Sunday it signed a currency swap agreement with Australia, a deal that it expects will boost bilateral trade and eventually help growth of their economies. The deal, signed by the central banks of the two countries in Sydney, will allow for the exchange of their local currencies up to 5 trillion won (US$4.5 billion) or A$5 billion, according to a joint statement.
