Singapore's Changi Airport handled 4.68 million passengers in August, up 9.4 percent year on year, the airport said Monday. The traffic jump was higher than in previous months due to the long Hari Raya festival and the National Day public holidays. Flight movements in August grew 8.2 percent year on year to 29, 600 landings and take-offs. The cargo sector continued to be weak, with 151,000 tons processed in August, down 0.5 percent year on year. Changi Airport handled a record high of more than 51 million passenger movements last year.
