Seoul credit card use ranks top among major countries

South Korea ranked No. 1 among major countries in the frequency of credit card usage, industry date showed Sunday, but the amount per use was far below the average, industry data showed Sunday. According to figures compiled by the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute (KFTC), a South Korean consumer on average made 147 purchases with credit card in 2012, followed by Canada with 89.8 and the United States with 83.5.
