Seoul aims to remove 2200 economy-related regulations by 2016

South Korea said Thursday that it plans to eliminate 2,200 economy-related regulations by 2016 in a bid to remove unnecessary hurdles standing in the way for corporate investment. It will also introduce a "cost-based" ceiling on regulations starting next year to prevent the government from enforcing excessive restrictions that could hamper business activities, according to the Office of Government Policy Coordination.
