Sales at retailers not affected by China's new travel law

Contrary to initial concerns, purchases by Chinese tourists at local retailers have not been significantly affected by China's new law banning its travel agencies from selling abnormally cheap overseas shopping tours, local retailers said Tuesday. Lotte Duty Free, South Korea's largest duty free chain in terms of sales, said the number of Chinese customers rose 60 percent in the October-November period compared with a year ago
