South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has arrived in Turkey, starting a four-day tour of the Middle East. South Korean President met with Turkish and South Korean CEOs and emphasized the importance of a free trade agreement between the two countries, Korea''s (KBS WORLD) website reported. President Lee referred to the two countries as brothers, and yet, pointed out the lack of economic cooperation between Korea and Turkey. Lee also added that the Korean government would actively support mutual investments between the two countries'' business leaders for Turkey''s economic development. President Lee praised Turkey''s accomplishments despite a slowdown in global growth. He also urged Istanbul to take on a leading role as a gateway for exchange.
