S. Korean industries bracing for KORUS FTA era

South Korean industries are preparing to deal with changes to trade that will come when the free trade agreement (FTA) with the United States goes into effect, local sources said Thursday. Sources said right after the U.S. Congress ratified the trade pact that local industries need to carefully gauge the impact of lower tariff rates and devise ways to enhance competitiveness and fuel exports to the world's single largest consumer market.
