Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan and its trade mission on Friday unveiled a business and trade club in Baku, the national capital of Azerbaijan. Opening of the club is meant to promote companies of Russia in Azerbaijan, help Azerbaijani businesses find partners in Russia before entering the Russian market, and offer consultancy service. While addressing the opening of the club, vice-president of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation Vidadi Guliyev said the two countries have a great potential for furthering economic relations. "Currently, the country is implementing five large state projects with Russian companies. Over the last 10 years Azerbaijan has invested 560 million U.S. dollars in the Russian economy. Last year trade turnover between the countries amounted to 2.3 billion U.S. dollars," Guliyev said.
