Poland is interested in good French-German cooperation taking into account also aspirations and possibilities of other countries, including our country, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski has told Polish Television. The president argued that the key issue today is whether Europe, also with the participation of the new French president, "will find appropriate instruments and ideas for coming out of the economic crisis." President Komorowski stressed that although Poland is among just a few countries not directly suffering from the crisis still its effects in other countries are felt in Poland. "The remaining part of Europe is really in a situation of a serious threat...," said the president. "We hope that Europe, with its new leadership - presidents or prime ministers of leading European countries, will find an optimal solution for the crisis," said Komorowski. According to him "it will be some kind of a road between savings and discipline of expenditures...and mechanisms stimulating economic development what has been referred to by President Hollande." Commenting on the situation in Greece, President Komorowski wished the Greek people courage and determination in reforming their economy. The president added that if the Greeks do not find determination to implement reforms than there may be various scenarios, including very bad ones.
