Passengers, airplanes to Kuwait increase by 4%

Kuwait International Airport announced that both the number of passengers and commercial airplanes increased by four percent in May 2013, compared to the same month of last year. The number of arriving and departing passengers to and from the airport reached over 671,000 compared to 703,000, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation. The number of arrivals was about 363,700, while the departures were 397,340 passengers. The number of arriving and departing planes reached 7,081 flights said the authority, noting that the number of commercial flights was 6,522 compared to 6,259. Air cargo was over 15 million kgs, added the body.
