
Plans to develop trade and economic contacts between Russia and North Korea were voiced at a meeting of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov with a newly appointed ambassador of North Korea to Moscow Kim Hyung-joon.
The North Korean ambassador presented his credentials at the Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS reported.
The Russian diplomat and the North Korean ambassador have discussed prospects for the development of the relations between Russia and North Korea, the situation on the Korean peninsula and other problems of mutual interest. The two sides have confirmed mutual interest in broadening cooperation in different fields, including the development of a political dialogue and trade and economic cooperation.
