Nipsa members to vote on strike action

Nipsa members here are to be balloted later on taking industrial action over the government's austerity programme.Northern Ireland's largest public sector trade union said the action was in response to plans over pensions, pay freezes and job cuts.If approved by members, the strike is planned for 30 November.The union said the ballot would affect about public sector members 43,500 members as well as some other organisations.
