Seoul - Yonhap

NAVER Corp., the operator of South Korea's most frequently visited Internet portal, has agreed to contribute about 100 billion won (US$94.8 million) over three years toward helping smaller companies and protecting consumer rights, the corporate watchdog said Wednesday. This was in exchange for the Fair Trade Commission applying the so-called "commitment decision" on its probe into major Internet portal operators, including NAVER, which have been accused of hurting fair market competition by using their market dominance.
