Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani on Friday met with Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, currently visiting Rabat. The meeting discussed means of developing economic ties between the two countries. The two sides also signed an agreement on encouraging and protecting mutual investment, where Moroccan Economy and Finance Minister Nizar Baraka represented the Moroccan side. The agreement aims at protecting investment in both countries and promoting trade exchange and the flow of investments. Baraka said that the agreement comes within the framework of Morocco's government move to diversify markets, so as to attract more foreign investments. He pointed to Vietnam's rapid growth, as it achieved a turnover of more than ten billion dollars in foreign direct investment.
