More seniors forced to work amid economic slump in Korea

The portion of South Koreans aged 50 and older among the country's working population reached an all-time high in June, data showed Monday, as they are apparently finding it difficult to make ends meet without employment. According to the Statistics Korea data, the number of workers aged 50 and older came to 9.36 million at end-June, accounting for 35.6 percent of South Korea's economically active population of 26.2 million
