Ministry of economy organizes workshop on combating counterfeited smartphones

A workshop on combating the counterfeiting smart phones which was organized by Ministry of Economy and Commerce in cooperation with the House of Wisdom for Consulting in Dubai began its activities Monday. About 20 inspectors from the Commercial Fraud Combat in the Consumer Protection Department at the ministry are attending the workshop. Youssef Saad Al Suwaidi, Head of Commercial Fraud Combat Section at the Consumer Protection Department stated that the workshop aims to develop and upgrade skills of inspectors working in the field of commercial fraud and to enable the company to curb commercial fraud in the country . He added that participants in the workshop are seeking to carry out instructions and objectives of the Consumer Protection Department thoroughly and to seize companies that duplicate international trademarks, stressing that the workshop will be an addition to the inspectors' work in consumer protection.
