Minister of Labour, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan met today with Free Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions (FFBTU) Executive Council chairman Yacoob Yousif Mohammed in his office at the ministry.During the meeting, the minister stressed the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on strengthening the trade union action and the rights of labourers during a meeting with trade union leadership, where HM the King gave them his Royal directives.Such directives enrich and strengthen the trade union action and strengthen its course in a way to preserve the achievements that had been accomplished since HM the King’s Accession to the Throne and inauguration of the comprehensive reforms.The minister pointed out the importance of HM the King’s meeting with the trade unions recently which forms an incentive for the free union to proceed with the community partners to elevate the constructive social dialogue that serves the labour march away from the political and sectarian alignments that harm the work environment and interest of labourers and Kingdom.The Minister highlighted that preserving the achieved labour gains in Kingdom of Bahrain, which attained the respect and praising of the specialized international organisations, is a national responsibility of all the production parties, expressing his confidence of the Kingdom to address all the challenges.The Minister considered the work environment as a reflection of the unity of the Bahraini line under the wise leadership through the active participation of the national labour in the various areas of improving productivity and building trust between all parties.For his part, (FFBTU) Executive Council chairman of Bahrain Labour Trade Unions stressed the importance of integrating all the efforts to reinforce the labour gains and coordinating stances between the production parties and supporting the initiatives aiming at improving work environment.The (FFBTU) Executive Council chairman pointed out that the Royal directives will be a guiding light for the free union’s approach in defending the interests of labourers and their gains, renewing his welcome of the minister’s call for the Labourers’ representatives to renounce sedition, overcome their disputes, and highlight the supreme interests of Bahrain above individual and factional interests.
