The board of directors of Meydan City Corporation has been reshuffled by a new decree by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Decree No.10/2012 appointed Saeed Humaid Al Tayer as chairman of the board and Ahmad Al Shaikh as vice-chairman. Malih Lahej Al Basti and two representatives of the Dubai Equestrian Club and the Dubai Racing Club, both to be named by the clubs, were appointed as members of the board. The term is for three years and renewable, according to the decree. The decree is of immediate effect and will be published in the official gazette. Meydan City Corporation oversees the development of the UAE’s new iconic horseracing development.
