Malaysian natural rubber (NR) production increased to 85,866 tonnes, or 22.9 per cent in June in comparison with last year. According to Malaysian news agency (Bernama), statistics have shown that a 0.6 increase was recorded year-on-year, with a 93.8 per cent contribution from the smallholding sector and 6.2 per cent from the estate sector. Regarding exports, 60,131 tonnes of NR were shipped in June, lower by 8,460 tonnes or 12.3 per cent in comparison with June 2011.
