Malaysia's natural rubber production drops 9.6% in April

Malaysia's natural rubber production decreased in April 2012 by 9.6% or 6,488 tonnes compared to the previous month at 60,888 tonnes. According to the Malaysian Statistics Department, production also fell by 7.0% or 4,569 tonnes year-on-year. The export of natural rubber in April 2012 decreased by 5.9% or 4,159 tonnes to 65,778 tonnes from the preceding month and fell by 33.6 percent or 33,342 tonnes year-on-year.
