Riyadh - Arabstoday

Saudi Arabia is the most popular destination in the Middle East for would-be migrants, according to the findings of a poll published by Gallup. According to findings released by the firm this week, an estimated 31m adults worldwide would relocate to the conservative, oil-rich kingdom if given the opportunity. This figure represents five percent of the total number of adults worldwide who are presently looking to migrate away from their respective home countries. In terms of the Middle East, fellow Gulf state the UAE came in second place, with Gallup finding that 13m people globally would be willing to move to cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Worldwide, the US was by far the most popular destination for would-be migrants, with 150m people interested in moving to the country. The UK came in second overall in the rankings with 45m, and Canada in third place with 42m. Saudi Arabia, the most populous nation in the Gulf, is currently home to approximately 27m people, of which more than 10m are said to be non-Saudi nationals.
