
Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Saturday metwith Egyptian Minister of Transport Ibrahim Demeiri and Undersecretary of theIraqi Ministry of Transport Salman Jassim.They discussed the railway project linking the three countries, according toJordanian Petra News Agency.Discussing the outcomes of the separate meetings of the Jordanian-Egyptian HigherCommittee and the Jordanian-Iraqi Higher Committee, Ensour stressed theimportance of the railway project in linking the countries of the Levant with NorthAfrica, a move which will increase the trade cooperation and consolidate the Arabcountries’ economic interests.The Jordanian Prime Minister was also briefed on the achievements of the ArabBridge Maritime, a significant joint venture of the governments of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, with an accumulated profits of more than $250 million.
