Japan's jobless rate rises to 4.5% in October

Japan's jobless rate rose to a worse-than-expected 4.5 percent in October from 4.1 percent in the previous month, the government said on Tuesday. The government in September started including in its data three prefectures in the northeast of the country hardest hit by the March earthquake and tsunami, which left 20,000 people dead or missing.
