Tokyo - XINHUA
Japan's top three automakers, namely Toyota, Nissan and Honda logged record overseas outputs in November, local media reported Wednesday. Toyota Motor Corp.'s overseas output increased 16.4 percent compared with the same period last year to 506,742 units on the back of improving market conditions in Asia, particularly China Nissan Motor Co. produced 381,950 units abroad, up 26.8 percent, while Honda's overseas output gained 21.0 percent to 301,403 units, according to data released the day. In the domestic market, Toyota's production gained 3.5 percent from a year before to 266,817 units following last year's slump triggered by the termination of the government's subsidy program for the purchase of green cars, the company said. Honda's domestic production rose 34.5 percent to 96,835 units on solid sales of the latest Fit hybrid, which hit the market in September. Nissan's was down 14.9 percent to 79,613 units.
