Japan logs record current account deficit at $15.38bn

Japan logged a record current account deficit at 1,589.0 billion yen (about 15.38 billion U.S. dollars) in January, said Japan's Finance Ministry Monday. The balance of goods trade posted a deficit of 2,345.4 billion yen (about 22.71 billion U.S. dollars), the ministry said in a preliminary report.
