Iraqi Finance Minister Rafie al-Essawi on Thursday met with Carlos Pascual, the U.S. State Department’s Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs. The two sides discussed issues related to the future of investment projects in Iraq, obstacles and challenges hindering the adoption of laws that relate to energy projects in Iraq, including the oil and gas law, a source at the finance ministry said.
