The value of Iran’s non-oil exports surpassed $32 billion in the first three quarters of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2011), it was reported in this southwestern provincial city Wednesday evening. Minister of Economy and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini made the announcement in an economic meeting held here with participation of local officials and tradesmen. The minister added that the figure indicates a 33 percent rise compared to the corresponding period last year. Referring to the escalating financial pressures against Iran by US and its allies, Hosseini said enemies who had failed to bring the Iranian nation down to their knees have now decided to damage the country’s economy and progress.
