The Iranian and Chinese Universities of Oil Industry on Thursday signed an agreement on education and technology cooperation as well as exchange of experiences. The signatories, Gholam Reza Rashed President of the Iranian Oil Industry University and Zhang Laibin President of the Chinese University of Oil Industry, signed the agreement at the Iranian Embassy in Beijing in the presence of Iranian Ambassador to Beijing Mahdi Safari. Laibin praised and described Iran as an important energy provider for all developing nations. Pointing to Tehran–Beijing excellent cooperation, he expressed hope that the existing level of mutual scientific, research and educational cooperation between the two countries' scholars be promoted. Rashed described the agreement as a means to pave the ways for further mutual cooperation in all fields of interests. He expressed hope that the plan for exchange of scholars between the two universities be implemented soon.
