Iran, Tajikistan emphasize expansion of two-way economic ties

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi on Friday stressed expansion of mutual economic relations. Larijani and Zarifi said expansion of mutual cooperation on regional level is among other areas of mutual interest. They welcomed the idea of laying tracks to connect China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan so as to facilitate cargo transit from Tajikistan and the republic’s access to free waters through Oman Sea. Zarifi, urging expansion of bilateral relations on all political, economic, cultural and parliamentary domains, said his country gives preference to promotion of cooperation with Iran than other countries.
