Iran mulling over launching tractor Ivory Coas

"A request by Ivory Coast's envoy for launching a production line of tractors in the African country will be studied," Managing-Director of Iranian Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group Abolfath Ebrahimi said in a meeting with Ivory Coast's envoy to Iran Abdullah Siseh on Thursday. Iran is a major tractor-manufacturer and exporter. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITM Co.) in the Northwestern city of Tabriz has exported many of its products to a large number of world countries, and launched assembly lines in various parts of the world, including South America. Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka and Sudan as well as Iran's neighboring countries, and African and Central Asian states as among his company's main customers. In April 2010 and during President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visit to Zimbabwe, Iranian and Zimbabwean Presidents opened the Iran tractor assembly line.
