Head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines Mohammad Nahavandian on Saturday inaugurated the first international congress on Halal Food in Ankara, Turkey. He said production and consumption of Halal food has been a vital part of social relations in Muslim world over the past 14 decades. Pointing to religious, economic and social dimensions of the Halal Food, Nahavandian called for further interaction and cooperation to promote coexistence of multiculture in the international community. The first Halal Food congress will be held by Turkish center of research and information dissemination affiliated to Islamic Chamber (IRIC). The food experts from 16 Islamic countries are due to discuss and exchange their views about standards of Halal Food in different food processing, building Halal production laboratory and issuing Halal certificate for the productions in the two days congress.
